6-DOF IMU DESCRIPTION
EOS IMU has onboard MEMS sensors to measure attitude. 3-axis MEMS accelerometer (MMA7260Q), 3-axis MEMS gyros and one tilt compansated 3-axis magnetometer were used to measure attitude. Optionally one absolute pressure transducer as barometric altimeter and a differential pressure transducer as pitot may be installed on the bord. The full featured IMU is the lightest (24gr) and the smallest (70x45x15mm) board in its range. System is communicate via RS232 serial port or optionally a 900MHz/1000mW wireless RS232 modem can be installed to the system. IMU sensors were measured with a real 14-bit fast ADC and a hardware filter was applied. Optionally raw readings (100Hz) or EKF filtered attitude readings (20Hz) can be read via RS232 port. Optionally one barometric pressure sensor and one differential pressure sensor may be used as barometer and pitot tube. All measurements can be read also in raw format or EKF filtered formet via RS232 port.
